Infant Teacher
Ms. Karen
Ms. Karen is a dedicated and experienced professional with a passion for nurturing the growth and development of infants as they begin to explore the world. She is the Lead Infant Teacher at Maylan International Academy, to which she brings 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education.
Ms. Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Georgia and has completed her MTEI Montessori training for ages birth through 3 years old. Her qualifications provide her with valuable skills and insights into working with young children.
Ms. Karen is a proud mom of 3 adult children and a loving grandmother of a 7-year-old little boy! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing, swimming, reading, and doing a variety of craft activities. These interests likely contribute to her well-rounded approach to early childhood education, as they can be incorporated into her teaching methods to create engaging and enriching experiences for the children she works with.
Primary Teacher
Ms. Phoebe
Ms. Phoebe Zhu has been endowed with an exceptional passion in early childhood education by her motto: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Ms. Phoebe comes from Shanghai, China. She owns a bachelor’s degree in English major from Shanghai Maritime University. She had given voluntary classes to young children for years before becoming a professional Montessori teacher. After completing her AMS certificate by MACTE in China, she served at a bilingual (English immersion) Montessori school for years.
As a leader teacher, Ms. Phoebe helped with the classroom setup for a well-prepared Montessori teaching environment, the design of lesson plans through the entire academic year aged 3-6, and the organization as well as the implementation of various teaching activities. Great joy and impact can be noticed during her work with children and her communication with parents based on Montessori’s philosophy.
With working background in media and tourism, Ms. Phoebe is greatly into photographing and traveling. She is also an amateur baker enjoying creative cakes and cookies in her free time. As for her, Montessori philosophy brings a perfect balance between life and learning.

Hi. My name is Xiaorong Huang.This is my tenth year teaching children. I graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic University with a Master’s degree in fine arts in China.
I am a hardworking and skillful primary teacher. Aside from teaching Chinese, I am also capable of teaching fine arts. Being a primary teacher isn’t my first job. Previously, I was a college teacher that taught fine arts.
